iM: JKL@STRD’s AP1 in Honda Tuning

Picked the mail up the other day and as I was flipping through it I was plesantly suprised…. bills, flyers, more bills and the new issue of Honda Tuning. Magazine subsciption mail day is pretty much my favorite mail day of the month BTW, haha. Get home and start breezing through the mag when I stumble upon none other than Jackie Law’s retarded sick AP1. Congrats again dude!

Anyways go out and grab a copy, it’s the May 2010 issue. Should be hitting the shelves any day now.

iM Feature: Matt’s Honda S2000

This feature of Matt’s S2000 is photographed and written up by Jeff Chin.

Its starting to warm up, nice cars are finally coming out, photographers who have been hiding all winter are dusting off their equipment and here I am writing up my 1st feature on ill motion. I myself am excited whats in store for this season. This past weekend me and my buddy Raymond got the chance to photograph a good friend of ours; Matt’s Honda S2000.

“Honda’s were never really my thing” He replied…

It was back in 08 when Matt first laid eyes on the S2000 he now today calls his own. This 2002 Sebring silver S2000 has come along way since its 08 debut in the Edmonton car scene.

“I’ve owned this car for a little over a year now, it’s the best car I’ve owned” He said.
This is out of the eleven cars he’s owned since he got his license. Nissan, Toyota and Mazda’s just can’t satisfy Matt’s hunger for the corners. Sure you may say there are faster cars … But theres more to it than outright speed.

Matt’s hoping to see more of the track this up and coming race season, it be Stratotech time attack events or the Race city circuit.

But enough with the small talk, Lets get straight to the photos.

iM: Jason’s FG Pt. Deuce

Finally it’s my turn to whore this place up with some of my new ish.
Had some time to take better pictures for you guys because I was too tired last night to take any good ones. I feel that it still doesn’t do the car justice with these photos.. but wait till I have more time and I’ll be out with the crew doing a photoshoot soon. Until now, here are clearer, brighter pictures with some better fitment pics.

iM: Jason’s FG Completed

Well, the day I’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. I’ve been anxious since September last year to get all this done and it’s finally finished!
Started off by dropping the wheels to Lorne and Bob at Urban Expressions to get mounted at 1PM

Then I mounted them at Diana’s house quickly and adjusted camber and such to get them to fit to at least roll around properly without any problems. The only thing is that the rears pop the rear bumper sides out.. so I just need more camber. I then headed to Speedtech to get the Spoon S-Tai diffuser installed with Paul’s crazy skillz

The diffuser in all its minty glory

Most of the illmotion crew, Mike, Al and Aldrich all came to chill too.

Paul finishing up the install

And finally the finished product. After 6-7 months of spending, waiting and work.. it’s all done. Now all that I’m left with is scraping, rubbing and headache… but it’s fucking worth it! haha

Sorry I have no pics of the fitment and side pics, but I’ll get those tomorrow hopefully! Until then, think of this as something to wet your appetite!

Ryan’s EP3 Vectored Out!

Last year, we went for a photoshoot for Ryan’s Ep3 and I had posted it up on my FlickR. Just today, I had received a message from a talented member on DeviantART (~illustrated90) saying that he vectored the one of the photos I took of Ryan’s car. I click the link and my jaw dropped. This vector is straight up GANGSTER. I needed to post this for everyone to see.

The process of vectoring.

iM Updates

iM: ill.motion Banner

The beginning of ill.motion actually started with the idea of having a banner for all the homies to rock. From there, we eventually thought that ill.motion could be something that everybody could be proud to rock, so came the idea of starting up the site, getting people involved and getting stickers made for everyone to show their support.

Since we’ve started, we’ve been working side by side with Van (Mist Creative) in designing the banner the way we wanted it. Ryan has been exchanging emails with Van and Icon Tinting to find the best possible way to get these made for us.

Here is the finished result on JC’s Corolla. He’s the first one to get it on, while some of us are waiting either for new windshields or to get their cars out of hibernation again. I think it looks friggin bad ass.

Unfortunately, we only had enough made for a few of us and that was it. At the moment, we haven’t made any plans to mass produce these because it’s simply too costly to get them made and if nobody wants them, then we’re stuck with a bunch of banners we don’t need. We’ll see in the future though!

iM: FG Coilover Install

After getting back from a nice weekend in Radium, BC for a nice relaxing soak in the hot springs, I was anxious to get back to finally start working on the car. I spent the whole day last Thursday detailing it top to bottom, giving it a wash, polished and cleaned the paint, sealed it and waxed it to get rid of all the salt and swirls that has accumulated over the winter.

Step two was to install the coilovers today. JC stopped by a little later and helped me finish up the rears. Install went smooth, and now the car is stiff as shit. I won’t be posting the finished height just yet because I’ll be lowering it more once I get my wheels and tires put together hopefully sometime this week. Once the wheels and tires go on, everything else does too.

So for now.. All you really get is how clean the car is =D

Props to JC for helping me out once again!
