Crew Decals

iM: Crew Decals

Diana got her decals on today. I think they match her wheels and car perfectly! At first I was skeptical of this purple/white color combo but then once she had it done, I can’t get enough!
I want purple wheels now..

iM: Arif’s EK gets Spooned

Remember the spoon crane? Here’s the followup

Spent the whole day at Speedtech on Saturday getting Arif’s Spoon diffuser installed on his EK (AKA Hollie). After lots of “ohhs” and “ahhs” and cringing from cutting so much of the diffuser off, it was complete. There aren’t too many EK’s running the Spoon S-tai diffuser, and in order for that to happen, you gotta be willing to push the envelope.
With the right idea and the right people, that’s how it’s done. Paul at STRD is infamous at being able to fab up just about anything when we need it.

Check the process!

All done!

“What are those? 16×3 +85?”

Don’t have the completely finished pics cause I had to leave before they got done. We’ll do a shoot soon!

iM Feature

iM Feature: The Red Bastard Evo VIII

Another great submission by 780 photographer, Jeff Chin. Check it outttt

Chevy versus Ford? Unless you drive a NASCAR, that battle hardly seems worth watching. When the Evo 8 1st arrived in North America it was a direct player against Subaru’s 300-horse WRX Sti. Both great cars, but the conclusion is if you must have power the the STi is your car, if you want understated precision yet devastating power when you need it the Evo is your car. At the end of the day I’d say if you like Subaru you wouldn’t go for a Evo even if its a “better” car (Notice I use the term better loosely. Just trying to prove me point haha). Its like telling a Mustang guy to buy a Camaro. Not gonna happen.

Anyways a little back story of this car,
This past weekend I got the chance to photograph my buddy Mark’s 03 Mitsubishi Evo 8. It was imported from Michigan not too long ago. When he bought it, it was completely stock, since then over the winter he has done a fair bit of mods to it.
But due to a lost of job he is forced to put the car up for sale, as he has only driven this for a couple of months. Sad but I guess priorities always comes 1st.
Here are the pics,

Spoon

Spoon Crane

Here’s a Spoon crane that I decided to cut out of a spoon diffuser cause I was so bored. Yes, it’s actual spoon carbon 😉

Where did I get the spoon diffuser to cut, you ask? Why would I even think about cutting a spoon diffuser? Who in their right mind even thinks about that!?

I could say that I’m a baller and that I buy spoon diffusers to cut shit out of, but I wish that was the case. Check back soon for the reason why! I’ll have that post up in a few days!

iM: Test Fit Wheel’s

So Prashant and I went to get his car out of storage. My wheels have been mounted and ready to go. So since the wheel’s where at his house, I thought we should try throw them onto his civic and see how they sit. Ill let the picture’s explain the kind of trouble im in. The car was sitting on top of the wheel’s and we couldn’t get it all the way down.

Time to get a fender roller and get to work on the Integra.

Enjoy.

iM: Upcoming Feature

I was going through some shots that I had forgotten about in the past and I remembered a few weeks ago I stopped by Terence’s house to check out his S2k cause he had just finished slapping on all his things and was finally ready to drive. We also slapped on his J’s hood quickly and I took some quick snaps at his new bachelor pad. We’ll be going out with Terence soon to do a proper shoot with some better shots of all his new goodies.
Until then, check out some teaser shots.

Click the link to see how it was sitting last year.

illmotion stickers sold out!

Once again, you guys have gone crazy with the stickers and we’re sold out not even a week later. It’s tough to keep up with you guys.

We want to be able to roll out a limited quantity of stickers in a certain color, which is why we run out so quick. We only make batches of 50 or so and when they’re gone.. they’re gone! Many people have been asking if the OG teal will be made again and as of now, we probably won’t be making it anytime soon. So for those of you that do have the OG teal, consider yourselves lucky!

We will have a poll up soon to decide the next color of stickers. In the meantime, Driven is coming up and for those that are local and are participating in the show know the rush we’re all going through to prepare our cars in time, to get those last parts in and installed, have everything look pretty and such and that’s the same thing we’re going through now. More news about Driven and illmotion will be up soon!

Thanks again for the support guys!
