Europe

Random Saturday

Usually I spent my Saturdays with the girlfriend or at the local shop, who’s owned by 2 good friends and their dad.

Since I first had to pick some things up, I was there when most of the locals already went to the beach… But the small parking lot still had a few cars left.

This is where most of my friends cars are being modified and where new friends are made.
Usually that occurs when someone orders something at their shop and it is being fitted at a Saturday. That is when the magic happens. I dropped by about 3 years ago still being fresh and new to the scene and with a broken engine. Two weeks later, new engine and good to go to France. This place just injects you with this virus of Honda-love and the thrill of a good handling and fast car.

One of the cars in their garage is this fine example of a DC5 Integra Type-R.
Because we don’t have the LHD Acura RSX in Europe, the only way is to get you an JDM imported one. The owner did a good job finding one with some Mugen goodies and a Backyard special front bumper.

Another good example for the Honda love is this 3th Gen Honda Civic. It is as stock as you can find her in a very good and rust-free condition.

The picture above shows my good friend and salesman Martijn holding the new turbo + Manifold for an new project boosting an R34 GTT Skyline from the stock horses up to the 400 bhp.

And last but least, here is the colorful hood of my mechanic’s CRX.
Since the car still had the 2001 Fast and The Furious styling, we had to put on some stickers.

I Hope you guys enjoyed the weekend ? I sure did and next week we’ll have a somewhat bigger Honda meeting in Holland, So expect more.

iM Feature: The Silver Surfer

I spent Friday evening with Raymond shooting my buddy Verlens AP2 S2K. This is a prime example that makes me want to own one myself sometime in the near future as well. To the sleak timeless desgin to the high revving engine this is one of Honda’s great creations that will be remembered..

Unfortunatly we only had time for 1 location but I think I got some good shots in haha…

Ray will post part 2 with his pics.

Till next time

iM: Punit’s car learning to walk again

Met up on Thursday with Brad, Punit and Prashant and we went to work on the Teg. Rolled and pulled the fenders, hooked up his subs and alarm, fixed the next-to-nothing idle and we got it going.
Here are some quick pics of it on the road again! Hallelujah. Looks like it’ll be ready for the show – just by a hair.

iM Feature: Aubrey Amante’s 2008 Mazdaspeed3

words by // jc.tenchavez

While Jason was anxious to try out his new lens, I gave Aubrey a call so we could do a shoot and feature on her 2008 Mazdaspeed3.

As most of you already know, it’s very rare to come across ladies who are as into the car scene as we (us men) are. However, when you meet people like Aubrey and her Mazdaspeed3, you’ll start to realize that the women of the scene aren’t in it to just sit and look pretty.

In my honest opinion, this is probably one of the sickest MS3’s you’ll find in Calgary. “Simplicity at its best” is a phrase that definitely fits right in with this vehicle.

Everything from the yellow foglights, the smoked head/tail lights, the “JDM” Axela badging on the rear hatch, the Autoexe front bumper, and it’s sick stance are enough to give the car the attention it deserves.

To boot, it’s got enough power to hurt the ego of any alpha male that tries to get in it’s way! LOL!…maybe I shouldn’t laugh.

On to the pictures…

Introduction

iM: Here to join the party

Hi guys,

As a new photographer I must also go through the standardized procedure of introducing myself in the first official post so here it goes.

The name is Raymond Saw from Edmonton AB. I’ve been following ill.motion since the beginning and now it’s my chance to contribute to its growth and ever expanding features of some really sick cars through my photography. My real love for photography started about a year ago when I picked up my first DSLR; ever since my skills and eye for a great picture have been rapidly growing. My other passion is obviously cars which began so long ago that I can’t even remember but mixes so perfectly with my new found passion of photography. I currently drive a MK3 Golf that is in its early stages of the build process so keep an eye out for that euro hot hatch.

A quick sample of my work:

You may have seen these cars before from previous post, that is because I shoot along side my buddy Jeff Chin. We shoot the same subjects at times but will produce totally different end results.

Have a great day,
Raymond

iM: Hey Guyz! I’m the new guy from B.C.

whats up iM readers i’m Mike from Prince George BC this is my first ever blog post
i’ll keep it short and sweet but PG isn’t a huge city, 90K people, 9 hours from Vancouver where i travel to quite often mainly for car functions. Although that doesnt seem to matter since the amount of stunning well built cars in PG is phenomenal.
i have a few feature cars to bring you guys soon so be on the look out. now on to the pics with my little D40.

iM Feature: Brad Atkins’ EM1

While we were out shooting Aubrey’s car, Brad tagged along and I decided to shoot his car as well. I’ve never shot it, so it’s nice to have something new to shoot. He’s got a new setup for 2010, so look forward to more shoots of his EM1 this summer πŸ˜€

Until next time…
