iM Highlight: Justin’s Acura Integra Type R

Dumped….. a common theme on all of Justin’s Honda’s.

I’m sure some of you remember previous pictures posted of Justin’s whips, his 98’ champ white ITR here and his old EG hatch here. The locally iconic Civic hatch has since been sold but Justin has been hard at work perfecting its replacement.

Several suspension set ups were installed and tested before Justin settled with the well know and proven ‘Honda-Tech’ slammed suspension set up otherwise know as Ground Controls & Koni Yellows. As you can imagine the ride was adjusted dozens of times until the desired ride height was set. Pictures don’t justify the ride height, shit is crazy low!

Next up was swapping over all the saved interior and engine bay parts from his EG hatch sale. With no time wasted the Momo steering wheel, hub & quick release along with the J’s Racing engine dress up items were installed in short order.

A quick exterior detail and you have a near perfect execution of how to finish off a clean ITR, bring on the functional haters!

iM Event Coverage

iM: Rev Speed Super Battle TA

A good friend of ours, Zack Hafler recently moved to Tachikawa, Japan and since then he’s been living the true JDM life. It’s rare to see shots from true Japanese race events and he has given us the pleasure to have some of the pics he took while he was down at the Tsukuba Circuit during the Time Attack Rev Speed Super Battle on December 10th.

The event was sponsored and organized by Rev Speed Magazine – A Japanese tuner magazine no doubt. The cars competing in this race ranged from A to E. This means cars from straight-up race machines and street legal civics and K-cars like the Suzuki Swift and Mitsubishi Colt’s.

I just wanna take this time to thank Zack for the pics and letting us showcase them. For more information, check out FindingJDM and SpeedHunters for details of the owners of the cars, team names and lap times.

iM Updates

Update!

Sorry for the minor downtime for the morning. We were having issues with our previous setup so we decided to change it to a more simple and cleaner look to keep the site working optimally to load pictures and media.

I would like to take this time to thank everyone for the support thus far. We know that winter is pretty lame for those of you that are itching to get in your car and start modding again. We have a few things in store for the new year so that next year, we’ll be rolling out with fresh swag.

As for updates with the shirts, we have pretty much sold out of all the smaller sizes and still have XL’s, XXL’s and XXXL’s left for the taking. Hit up the store to grab some. Buy one to sleep in too!

Thanks guys!

EVO

iM Highlight: Jason’s Evo X

If there was ever a person that I’ve known with ‘car ADHD’, it has to be Jason. He’s gone through a ton of modified cars from all different types, including (in no specific order) an innovative for its time turbo Cavalier, 3 different Honda Civics (one of them an 08 turbo Si), a Subaru WRX, a Mitsubishi Eclipse, an Acura EL, RSX, and 3 highly modified S2000s. His current work in progress is the Evolution X you see in these pics.

The Mitsubishi Evolution X (or 10) debuted for sale in Japan in October 2007, in the USA in January 2008, and for the first time ever, a Lancer Evolution came to Canadian dealerships in February 2008. A completely new redesign on the exterior came, along with a new motor coming away from the tried and true 4G63, which was quite controversial. But one thing held true from its predecessors, its tunability. The Evo X has responded well to mods and has become one of the hottest new cars to own and modify.

It’s because of the Evo’s positive reception to tuning and modifying that Jason just had to build one for himself. Peep the current set up Jason is running on the Evolution:

|OWNER: Jason Divina
|VEHICLE: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

|ENGINE & DRIVETRAIN
Cobb AccessPort Stage 2
AEM Cold Air Intake
Ultimate Racing Test Pipe
Ultimate Racing Down Pipe
T1R 90R Catback Exhaust

|SUSPENSION
Eibach Pro Kit Coil Spring Kit

|WHEELS
18×8.5 +38 5Zigen ZR in Custom White Finish

|AERO
Seibon Carbon Fiber Front Lip
Seibon Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler

Considering the Evo X is quick out of the box, a few simple and functional mods such as Cobb’s AccessPort Stage 2 Power Package, a down pipe and test pipe from Ultimate Racing, and the T1R 90R Catback exhaust is just enough to give this beast the extra “umph” it needs to get away from anyone who dares cross in it’s path.

Jason’s choice in dropping the Evo with the Eibach Pro Kit definitely compliment the Custom White Finish 5Zigen Wheels he decided to go with as well. And with exterior Carbon pieces from Seibon (Front lip and rear spoiler), there’s no mistaking Jason’s Evo when he’s out and about the city.

Since Jason has what I like to call “Car ADHD”, will we see more progress from this whip in the future? Well…that’s up to Jason.

iM All Over The World: Nicolas Rouillon’s 2004 Honda…

Since posting Luis Alva’s Mitsubishi Mirage we’ve been receiving a lot of e-mails from fans outside of Canada who are looking to get featured on our site. If you guys are from outside of Calgary and want to get featured be sure to send us some high-res pics of your whip and we will definitely go from there. Thank you all for the continuous support and love! We’re doing our best to show you guys how thankful we are by giving that same support and love back! Keep rockin’ with us!

Here we have a submission from Nicolas Rouillon of Paris, France with a very fresh Honda S2000. Only 25 years young, it looks as though Nicolas has the right frame of mind on what an S2K should look like. With notable mods such as the Tein Mono Flex Coilover Kit, A Greddy Ti-C Exhaust and an 18″ Work Meister S1 wheel set up, there’s no disagreeing on Nicolas’s passion for this S2000 of his.

For those wondering the ways of form and function affected those in Europe, look no further than Nicolas’s 2004 Phase-II Honda S2000:
