iM: The Re-Up 2013 (Part 2)

Going to keep things rolling with Part 2 of our Re-Up 2013 series…

Without a doubt one of the most influential features we’ve done here on illmotion come from the crew over at PoorForm. To back up that last sentence two members from illmotion even went as far as switching up their projects and going in the direction of VIP/Lexus modding. Definitely stay tuned for more from PoorForm later on this year!

Another first on illmotion comes from Devon Mori and a dual feature of his Honda Civic EG6 and Honda CBR600RR. With both of Devon’s means of transportation painted the same color, seeing both his car and bike in motion for the rolling shot was definitely an awesome moment!

illmotion’s own Prashant Topiwala surprised most of us this year when he sold this car, a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. While most of us can’t wait to see what Prashant has in store for next season, we’re pretty sure Prashant will regret getting rid of this once he looks at pictures from this feature again. Let’s take a moment to remember Prashant’s C63 AMG, shall we?

One of the very first “official” shoots of the season was Andy’s Mint Green Nissan Skyline GT-R R32. We had the pleasure of being able to shoot this car earlier on in the year as this car went on to become one of the biggest internet sensations of 2013. Doing his own thing and not paying attention to the negativity of others definitely got everyone talking about Andy and his GT-R.

Photographer Taylor Smith blessed us once again last year with another clean Euro in the form of Lani’s MK4 Jetta VR6. Rocking the super rare original Votex kit from Volkswagen and sitting on BBS CH Wheels, let’s revisit Lani’s immaculate MK4 Jetta.

iM Event Coverage: Weekly 403 Honda/Beyond.ca Meet – April…

It was a gorgeous night out for the last 403 Honda/Beyond.ca at Chinook, and that meant a really awesome turnout, the best turnout we’ve seen all season. Hopefully the meets stay as busy as they have been, if not busier!

Here’s a few of the many shots I took. To see the rest, check out the set on our Flickr stream: HERE

iM Feature: Devon Mori’s 1992 Honda Civic EG6 &…

Last summer, we were pleasantly surprised and quite happy to hear that one of our longtime supporters, and one of the homies, Devon Mori, was going to represent and enter with us for Driven 2012. The biggest reason we were excited for Devon’s “return” if you will, was due to the fact that the Driven show was going to mark the resurrection of his 1992 Right Hand Drive Honda Civic EG6, a project that Devon initially thought he had put to rest. To come back with a bang, Devon also came out to represent the motor bike scene with a 1996 Honda CBR600RR, featuring the same Metallic Green Pearl exterior as his newly resurrected EG6.

The return of the EG6. For as long as we could remember, Devon’s owned this 1992 Honda Civic ever since the emergence of right hand drive vehicles in Canada. A quick look into the past, Devon had put this little EG into hibernation and practically left it to hibernate for a few years. With no motivation to get it back on road, Devon’s EG remained in temporarily stored status. Fast forward to 2012, and Devon found some motivation to bring back his RHD hatchback, just in time for Driven Calgary.

Ditching the white exterior that came with the EG when Devon first acquired it, Devon marks his return by drastically switching up the exterior appeal of his civic with a Metallic Green pearlescent finish. Sporting custom DIY polished Rota GT3s on one side, and super rare Mugen CF-48s on the other, coming back clean and unique was definitely a step in the right direction for Devon’s comeback.

Devon could not have come up with a better way to compliment his EG than with another Honda, a CBR600RR. Featuring the same Metallic Green Pearl finish as his EG, Devon’s CBR600RR sports a Hyperflo slip on exhaust with a neo-chrome mid pipe, billet tips and a built-in fender elimator. Subtle modifications that are perfect for when Devon is out cruising in the spring and summer season.

To come correct with a feature combining both a car and a bike, we couldn’t think of a better way to unite the two than with some slick rolling shots, courtesy of the homie Jason Hoang of Life With Jason. With the perfect balance that represents both sides of the spectrum, both car world and bike world, you can’t help but admire the harmony and balance that Devon has accomplished with both his EG6 and his CBR600RR. Peep these rollers and you’ll see exactly what we are talking about.
