illmotion x Prostate Cancer Awareness

Fresh off our last fundraising campaign, Breast Cancer Awareness, we are doing our part to help out the men this time. Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer to affect Canadian men. Over 25,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year alone and over 4,000 of them will die because of it.

In our effort to save the men of today, we are releasing a Movember Special Edition decal. Available in limited quantity these will be gone quick! With our recent success with the Breast Cancer decals we will be donating 100% of all decal sales for the month of November to Prostate Cancer Canada. So help out a ‘Mo Bro’ and get your hands on these decals, even if you can’t grow any facial hair!

iM: Seva Canada Donation

For those who have been following illmotion since the beginning, you probably already know that we’ve always been about giving back to the community.

It wasn’t too long ago, that 7 random friends got together and came up with the idea to breathe life into the Calgary car community that seemed to be dying down more and more as each season passed.

One thing that will never be taken away from illmotion, is the passion that the 7 of us have for this scene. With the rise and success of illmotion thus far, there’s just no stopping what we’re doing to show the world what Calgary’s car scene is capable of, and how strong our community can really be.

This rise and success however, would never be possible without the support we’ve received from all of you. So what we’ve been doing (from the beginning) to show you how appreciative we are of all this love and support, is donate any sales profit we gain from our decals, lanyards and clothing.

Since illmotion started, we’ve donated to many reputable organizations/charities such as the Calgary Children’s Hospital, MADD Canada, Pancreatic Cancer Research, Canadian Breast Cancer Association, The Underwear Affair, Red Cross Canada (Japan Tsunami Relief), Safeway’s Father’s Day Run to battle Cancer, and our latest organization, Seva Canada.

As illmotion’s community grows, so does the money we raise to donate to these great organizations, and with the recent success of our Sunday School: Show & Shine 101 Car Show, we are proud to share with you all, what we as a community, have raised for Seva Canada.

For those who don’t know what Seva Canada is, it is an Eye Care Charity that goes to third world countries and provides those in need with vision treatment. Sight is probably the biggest gift that we take for granted, and there are millions out there who suffer from blindness and low visibility, and just do not receive the proper eye care they should. Seva Canada is an organization that is passionately working in these countries, to provide those in need, with the gift of sight.

A little can go a long way, and because of you guys and the success of Sunday School: Show & Shine 101, we were able to raise $1215.00 to Seva Canada!

All of this was made possible because of you! Awesome job everybody!

Once again thank you all for your continous support. It’s you guys that keep us going. Let’s make Sunday School: Show & Shine 102 next year even more amazing!

iM Event Coverage: Marcy’s Army @ The 2011 Underwear…

You may remember the release of our “Oil Slick” decals a few months back with 100% of the proceeds going to Marcy’s Army and their efforts to beat cancer at this year’s 2011 Underwear Affair. Because of your support the “Oil Slick” decals sold quick and we donated $150.00 to Marcy’s Army member Scott Pearson.

One of the perks of donating to Scott was being able to dress him up in whatever the crew here at illmotion pleased. With help from Marcy’s Army Captain Teddy Lopez we decided to make him do the 10k run in a banana suit modified by yours truly.

Prashant and I decided to take some snaps before the run to support our Marcy’s Army homies. Scott’s banana suit also ended up 2nd place for best costume at the Underwear Affair!

We want to take this opportunity to congratulate Marcy’s Army on finishing the 10k Run in a little over an hour, as well as raising over $6000 with proceeds going to Cancer research and care for patients at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and throughout Alberta.

Awesome job guys!

iM: #PrayForJapan Donation

On March 11th 2011, Japan was struck with an 8.9-magnitude Earthquake which was immediately followed by a monstrous Tsunami. Thousands of homes and businesses were taken away, as well as the lives of many, many people.

Being heavily influenced by the Japanese, the crew here at illmotion felt that it was only right to raise money for those in Japan who are in desperate need of our help.

From March 12th to March 31st, 100% of all illmotion decals sold were to be donated to the Canadian Red Cross, who is currently in Japan providing relief and aid to those who are greatly affected by this disaster.

Today, we would like to share with all of you the amount that we will be donating to the Canadian Red Cross. None of this would be possible without all of your support. For this, we send our deepest appreciation and thanks.

Because of you guys, illmotion managed to raise $800.00 to the Canadian Red Cross! We cannot thank you guys enough for your continuous support!

Along with our efforts to help Japan, Our homies over at Beyond.Ca graciously offered to match dollar for dollar the amount we raised (and then some) to the Canadian Red Cross. Thanks guys!

Last but not least, the boys over at Lithium Autosport also supported the cause by exclusively selling our “Made You Look” bumper stickers at their shop. Sales from these decals also went to the Canadian Red Cross.

With the support of Beyond.Ca, Lithium Autosport and most importantly all of you, we collectively managed to raise $1810.00!

Well done everyone!

Our deepest thoughts and prayers are still with the people of Japan.

If you would like to donate to the Canadian Red Cross click HERE.

Another way to donate is to text ASIA to 30333. $5.00 will be sent to the Canadian Red Cross for Earthquake Relief in Japan with every text.

Thanks again for your support!

iM: #PrayForJapan

Early Friday Afternoon, small quakes began to disrupt the east coast of Japan. Unfortunately, this was only to be followed by a monstrous 8.9-magnitude earthquake. This however, was not the end. The quake was then followed by an enormous Tsunami taking with it cars, ships, trains and whatever else was in it’s path. Not only did this destroy homes and businesses, but it also took the lives of hundreds of people.

After logging into twitter this morning, the number one trending topic was “#prayforjapan”. After letting that sit for a bit and watching CNN, reading various tweets, and thinking about family and friends currently residing in Japan, the crew here at illmotion thought it would be a great idea to get involved and do something to help those in need.

Fresh off our donation to Pancreatic Cancer Research, illmotion has decided to donate to the Canadian Red Cross, who is currently in Japan doing everything in their power to help those in need.

Starting today, 100% of all decals sold in the Online Store, will also be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.

Whether it be through illmotion or directly to the Canadian Red Cross, act now to help those who are struggling with the aftermath of this disaster.

Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the quake and the tsunami in Japan.
