Anniversary Decals for Charity

As you may know based on the post before this. illmotion is officially one year old! To continue on the tradition of releasing special decals for special occasions we have something new to show you.(See below)

Since we get so much love and support from all over the world, we thought what better way then to spread that love and support to those in need. For these special decals, we will be donating 100% of the proceeds to a charity which isn’t as commonly known, the National Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation.

A little bit about Pancreatic Cancer:
Every 15 minutes in North America, someone is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It is the 4th largest cause of cancer death and the most lethal.
Pancreatic cancer is the only one of the top ten cancer killers with a five-year survival rate still in the single digits—and the survival rate hasn’t changed in nearly 3 decades.
There is no prevention, no early detection method, no proven treatment unless diagnosed at an early stage and no cure. In 2011, it is predicted that more than 250,000 people worldwide will be diagnosed with this horrific disease and the numbers will continue to rise unlike other leading cancers where an investment in early detection has led to a decrease in cancer incidences.

First off we have a ‘Black Label’ special. Terence Ng of Black Label Designs has sponsored these decals to help out the cause.

And for the second anniversary decals we have our iM OG teal outlined all white decals.

To add to our 2 special ‘anniversary’ decals, we have 5 ‘Mystery Packs’ which contain 5 previously made and custom, never seen before, decals. As always a set of decals will cost you $8, and for the ‘Mystery Packs’ it will be $25. And once again all proceeds will go to the, National Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation

So head on over to the STORE and get your hands on some illmotion swag and help us help others live a life they deserve!

One Year @ illmotion

It’s been one hell of a year for us here at illmotion, but with the support of other local brands here in Calgary and the love we’ve received from you guys, it’s only right we give that same love and support back.

First off we’d like to give a shout out to Van Bui for the design of our sick logo. Whether it’s on our cars, snowboards, laptops, apparel etc. it’s because of Van’s creativity that our logo has gotten the recognition it has over the past year. Thanks Van!

Another person who has played a major role in helping us get to where we are today is Terence Ng of Black Label Designs. It’s because of Terence that we can bring you our decals as quickly as possible. And with superior quality and materials from Black Label, we definitely gotta give it up for Terence!

This past year we were able to bring you guys our very first t-shirt with the slogan we live by: Made You Look. This wouldn’t have been possible without the creative minds of Calvin Lee and Addison Chanthyvong of FCSWDT clothing. These dudes definitely helped us out in getting illmotion out there as a brand. Don’t forget to check out their clothing line as well!

Last but certainly not least, we gotta give a huge shout out to none other than you guys, the fans! It’s because of your love and support that we are where we are today. This past year has been very surreal and we could not have done it without you guys. Thank you for all the support you’ve given us, and the charities that we love to give back to. In 2010, we were able to raise and give over $3000 to The Alberta Children’s Hospital, MADD Canada, and The Alberta Breast Cancer Foundation. This year, we are on a goal to hit and surpass last year’s accomplishment and donate to many other charities such as Pancreatic Cancer Canada and SEVA.

As we look back at the past year that was illmotion, there’s definitely no stopping what we started. The next season is definitely something we’re all looking forward to and can’t wait to get out and bring you that heat we’re known to serve. Stay tuned!

For our One Year Anniversary we will be holding a contest for you all to participate in.

First Prize will consist of a Glow In The Dark Crew Neck and 1 set of each of the Anniversary decals. To participate in this contest share pictures of your car or you rockin’ illmotion. To enter, post your pictures on the illmotion Facebook wall.

iM: Lazy Sunday Sticker Bomb

Got my 5 panel wink mirror a few weeks ago and thought today would be a good day to install it. Before we install it I thought it would be good to sticker bomb the entire thing. Called JC and Prashant and got to work. Here’s what we came up with.

Started with the fatlace/illest/made you look bumper stickers.

Final touches. Glow in the dark illmotion decal.

Done!

The aftermath, all the stickers used.

Shout out

I wanted to take some time to give a shout out to our homie Alex Su. Now I wouldn’t normally do this but I think Alex deserves a post of his own. Without Terences’ notifying me, I would probably never be aware of Alex and the reason for this post.

Some of you might have attended shop class while you were in Junior High, some of you might currently be in it right now like Alex is and you might remember that clock project we all had to do. We would pick a design, cut it out of wood, paint it and add minute and hour hands to it as a personal clock.

Most people will do shit like make a flower, a sun, moon, or some generic stuff like that. However, what Alex did was purchase a pack of iM crowns from the store, take em to his shop teacher to photocopy and enlarge. From there he has to cut it, paint it and finish it up. Even I wouldn’t have thought of using our logo to make a clock..

When Terence messaged me, he sounded excited because of the fact that someone who doesn’t even drive yet, is crazy about and supports illmotion to the end. We love that we can totally inspire and have some place for guys like Alex to come and share something with us that might otherwise be hard to do elsewhere.

Here’s a shot that he sent in of his unfinished project.

Hey props to you Alex, we look forward to the finished project. Hopefully this project will lead into something bigger and better when you get a car for yourself!

iM: Crew Decals

Lately, we’ve had this crazy stream of people posting their pics of their rides reppin’ illmotion – which is awesome. We love seeing those posts on our facebook wall – so if you got a pic, post it up! And we’ll do our best to get it out! We think all rides deserve some sort of shout out. Thanks again for the support guys! We hit 1,000 fans on facebook thanks to all of you!
