iM Film: 780Tuners Season Closer 2014
First of all, I’d like to give a HUGE thank you to United Cycle and the surrounding businesses. Not only do they allow us to host events there, they also continue to welcome us back, even after people make a mess of the lot and park like absolute knobs. *This is my Team Royalty / illmotion coverage of the 2014 Season Closer event, hosted by 780Tuners. This years closer was a great success, with a large turnout. Might I also add, the weather made it MUCH more enjoyable than the opener.
This being my first year really attending meets and events, I love the community that’s formed at United Cycle meets. These season opening and closing events are just a glimpse at the groups of people, and the hearts behind the scene here. Everyone has there own “crew”, their own tastes and distastes, but in the end its about the fun times. Whether you like cruising to and from the meets, or having a coffee, talking with some random dude about your cars, you can’t have a bad time at these meets. Although, if you’re doing burnouts, doughnuts, or anything really dumb that would land you a ticket -expect to get asked to leave. Anyone that hasn’t been out to the weekly meets, come out on a Friday night and have a good time. You won’t regret it.

iM Film: illmotion Show & Shine 2014
August 17th, 2014 marked the fourth annual illmotion Sunday School Show & Shine. We had great weather again so we decided to bring out the video cameras and capture the event on film. With the largest show yet, and only a few hours to shoot, we did our best to capture as much of the show as possible.
We’d like to dedicate the show to a very close friend that we lost this past year, Sheree Evangelista.

iM Film: Driven 2013 Video
It took a while, but its finally here and ready for your viewing pleasure! On May 11th 2013, the Olympic Oval in Calgary once again opened its doors to host yet another Driven show. With over 250 cars in attendance, and hundreds of people out and about to check out what went down, we are happy to share with y’all our take on the show as seen through our eyes. We would like to take this time to thank everyone that came out to rep with us, and also to the beautiful Melyssa Grace for coming down and hanging with us. Also, we cannot forget to thank y’all for coming down and checking out the show.

iM Film: JC Tenchavez’s 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS
Fresh of the heels of a recent iM Feature, we’re back once again with JC Tenchavez’s 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS, this time in video form. Just like anyone with a project car, JC’s Corolla has definitely gone through many phases. Adapting “VIP” tastes and sitting on Work VS-XXs in its current (and last) phase, this is definitely the best JC’s Corolla has ever looked. With future plans to build a more formidable VIP car in the near future, we can’t wait to see what JC has in store for his next project. In the mean time, check out our latest iM Film featuring JC and his 2009 Toyota Corolla XRS, elegantly rolling to the sounds of Lana Del Rey’s “Serial Killer”.
Varty Films x illmotion
Last year I met with some guys from the illmotion crew after sending them my video “Curtis’s Evo X” to post on the illmotion blog. We did some chatting and talked about the idea of me heading down to Calgary to shoot a video of their crew. Well, we finally made that idea come to life!
My brother Daniel and I made the trip to Calgary on September 29th. We only had about a 3 hour window in Calgary before we had to head-back to Edmonton. So we made do with little time we had! I’ve never shot more than two cars at a time before, so this made for a bit of challenge. We decided to take all the individual shots of the cars first, group shots second, then with whatever time we had left we would drive and do my favorite part.. ROLLERS!
The shooting was great, and my brother Daniel and I had a lot of fun hanging out with all the guys from illmotion. Hope you enjoy this video, and we plan to do more videos next summer with illmotion!

iM Film: Jason Hoang’s 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI…
Back in May, we featured what is without a doubt one of the most well executed Subarus on this side of Canada; Jason Hoang’s Varis/Voltex STI Sedan. For those who may not have seen the feature you can check it out HERE. Since the feature, Jason has pretty much enjoyed his build for the entire summer, and even went on to take Best In-Class Subaru at this year’s Driven show right here in Calgary. With the winter season upon us, Jason has now put this little gem away for storage, with big plans for the new season. Before the end of the season however, illmotion’s own Corey and Ryan got a chance to get together with Jason to work on another iM Film, featuring his 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan. With Corey working non-stop on videos since Driven, we are proud to showcase yet another one of his amazing pieces of work!
So sit back, relax, press play and enjoy the sounds of The Throne’s “Otis” combined with the visuals of Jason Hoang’s Varis/Voltex Subaru STI Sedan, sitting on all time classic Volk TE37s.
iM Film: Sunday School Show & Shine 2012
August 5th, 2012 marked the second annual illmotion Sunday School Show & Shine. This year, there was a couple of us out and about shooting video, and with a larger turn out compared to the year before, it did take a little more time to sort through the hours of footage we obtained throughout the course of the day.
Finally we are proud to present you with another iM Film featuring footage from the event! A HUGE thank you goes out to everyone who helped make Sunday School 2012 a great success, and we surely cannot wait to see you guys again next year!
