iM Random Snaps: Nick’s J’s Racing Honda S2000

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Nick’s S2000. Just a few weeks ago, Nick had officially sold the car and moved on. Here are few random shots that we took of his car last year before the end of summer that we’ve been holding on to.

Our guess is that we’ll probably see more of what Nick has in store later on this year, but for now – enjoy what’s left of “true attention to detail”

iM Random Snaps: Al Patel’s MK6 VW Jetta

Gonna kick off the “Official First Day” of Spring with something new from the homie Al Patel. No stranger to having his cars featured here on illmotion like his BMW X5 and his recent APR tuned Audi S4 project, Al keeps things going with yet another new vehicle, a MK6 VW 2.0L Jetta.

Being a huge fan of all things “slammed”, it’s no surprise that this was going to be the inspiration for Al’s Jetta. And what better way to get this Jetta sitting closer to the ground than with an air ride suspension kit, paired with a set of 19″ Miro STP3s.

What sets Al’s MK6 Jetta apart from other bagged MK6s out there is that there are no known air ride suspension kits available for the 2.0L models. For a little more info on the 2.0L MK6 models, it uses suspension components of both the MK4 and MK5 Jetta.

Going into this project with no real knowledge of the MK4/MK5 suspension set up in the 2.0L MK6 until the actual install of his air suspension, a little patience, research and determination definitely worked to Al’s advantage to get this Jetta bagged.

With the help of a fellow colleague at work, Al’s 2.0L MK6 Jetta is currently rocking a custom MK4/MK5 hybrid air ride suspension kit, and here is the outcome…

iM Random Snaps: Track Prepped STI

With the 2012 spring/summer season slowly on the rise, we are discussing the possibility of another road trip this upcoming season. Here we decided to take a look back at some pics we snapped from our first group road trip, which was to Vancouver for the DTP 2011 Show. Have a look back at a few more pics of this crazy track prepped STI which won best of show!

Enjoy the pics!

iM Random Snaps: J’s Racing RSX

Going back through some old pictures from Toronto’s ImportFest and this RSX caught my eye again. It’s been posted around the net more that once and it seems like its on a different sets of wheels each time. My favorite look is definitely this one, rocking the concave TE’s.

iM Random Snaps: Bring the Fun & Sun Back!

Those of you in warmer climates are lucky. You get to drive your vehicles all year round, without having to switch them over to winter mode, or put them away all together. We here are not so lucky. Snow and ice all over the ground and constant freezing temperatures both either depress us, or put us in bad moods. People fight, people argue, people disagree… people are just people, can’t do much about it.

Which is why I can’t wait for the spring/summer again. We need to start having fun again, need to start shooting again, need to start hanging out again.

Our followers here are very aware of the pics of all the cars that we put up, but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication behind the scenes to bring you guys what we do with every post. We try to keep on schedule, but things always get in the way. But isn’t that how life is? But we get it done, and its all for you.

So here’s to the good days. We will continue to put in work, get shoots done, put up content, and continue to showcase the local car scene for our viewers and fans, whether you like it or not.

More pics can be found HERE.

And just for good measure, here are a couple of pics of the beautiful Dannie Riel that I snapped at DTP Vancouver.

iM Random Snaps: Stanceworks Limbo Contest

Mid-way through winter, I always find myself looking through albums upon albums trying to relapse what happened during the beautiful summer months. It doesn’t seem like that long ago the sun was shining high in the sky, and there were car shows at least every single weekend. One of my most memorable shows I went to last season was the Stanceworks and Waterwerks show down in Tacoma WA. One of the most interesting aspects of the show was the limbo contest. Here are a few random snaps that never made it in my original article.

iM Random Snaps: Power and Beauty – 2010 Nissan…

The GT-R has been Nissan’s flagship performance car since it’s debut in 1969. Because of Nissan’s commitment to performance, the GT-R badge has become a worldwide icon. As a car nut, I absolutely love the GT-Rs, old and new. That is why I jumped on the occasion to shoot a local car guy’s GT-R, not once but, twice.

I have a confession to make. The first time I shot *B-TOWN*’s GT-R, the pictures were horrendous for two reasons:

One, it was the first time I had seen an R35 GT-R in person. One that I could touch, in a non-perverted way of course, sit in, and truly appreciate for it’s raw beauty.

Two, I sucked at photography. There is no other way to put it. In any case, the second time shooting this wondrous GT-R was magnificent. The pictures turned out great, and *B-TOWN* had done a few modifications to this already perfect “GodZilla”.

His mods included:

  • Complete Car 3M Wrap
  • 3M Headlight Rock Guard and Darkening
  • 5% All Around Tint
  • Titek Gold Lug Nuts (Short, Open Ended)
  • COBB GT-R SF Dual Intake System
  • Harman Motive Catless Downpipes
  • Harman Motive Catless Non-resonated Midpipe
  • Meisterschaft SUS Catback GT Dual Side
  • COBB Access Port w/TCM + Custom Tune

Stock from the factory, the 2010 GT-R produced 485HP/434 lb.ft of Torque. His car, now has 551 HP / 561 lb.ft of Torque @ 18 PSI of boost. Yeah, it’s nuts. And the sound of the COBB/Harman exhaust is one a kind. At idle, it’s quiet and tamed. But, when all hell breaks loose, you can hear the four horsemen of the apocalypse riding past the gates of hell! No joke.

Now, for the pictures!

Thanks for reading everyone. You stay classy………..Planet Earth!

iM Random Snaps: Halloween Special

So most of you should know today is Halloween, the weather was beautiful so what better way to celebrate then to dress up and go out for some quick snaps, hope you enjoy.

iM Random Snaps: Redlyne’s MR2 x Fall Shoot

Some of you may remember Ryan Dandurand’s gorgeous Imola Red Toyota MR2 that we’ve featured a couple times in the past, sitting correct on some Matte Black Volk TE-37s. For those who have or haven’t, you can check out our previous features HERE and HERE.

This season, Ryan’s MR2 has rarely been out of hiding due to a few upgrades here and there. A new Bomex Type 2 Aero Spoiler and Phoenix Power Depature 85mm Dual Exhaust give this MR2’s rear end a more refreshed look.

Adding to the MR2’s refresh, Ryan’s main focus was to get his SW20 running better than ever. Mission accomplished with a fully built engine, with 850cc injectors, and a fresh GTX GT3071 Turbo. With the help of Toma & Anthony Lo, this SW20 is on its way to being one hell of a precisely tuned monster.

With the fall season upon us and the weather getting a little bit crisp in the mornings and evenings, Ryan’s timing couldn’t be any better. And with the perfect autumn back drop to compliment Ryan’s practically perfected MR2, who wouldn’t mind seeing this SW20 again?

…that’s what we thought.

iM Random Snaps: VW Generations

Our good friend Matt from Bergwerk Photography sent over these sick pics of a recent shoot he did. Here you will find two Jettas owned by brothers who share a passion for their VW’s.

The green Jetta houses some form of a diesel engine at the moment and plans for the winter are to swap in a TDI motor. Fitted with some classic 15×8 et30, Snowflake wheels and dropped on H&R suspension, it’s a dub done right.

The other Jetta is one of many MK2’s that has been owned by this brother. The custom stripe by Dublu Design set’s this apart from the others. The car sits on 13×8 ATS Classics and suspension is a custom creation which is unknown.

Enjoy the pictures and be sure to check out Bergwerk Photography!

A little quote from Matt:

Right now both cars are just runners that are really low. The green one is so low that when I was doing my rig shot, the subframe was scraping and shaking my camera. 🙂 You have to be dedicated to roll these cars daily.
