It’s been a long winter, but with the official first day of spring just around the corner (Mar.20) the excitement is rising here at illmotion. The weather is looking promising for the next week and we hope it sticks around so we can start doing what we do.

Here’s a little look back to last year and a glimpse of what’s to come for the year.

iM: Upcoming Feature: Andrew Phan’s Beasts

A good buddy of mine just recently purchased a WRX Hybrid and got it dyno’d. I’ve been trying to schedule a time with both of our busy schedules to do a photoshoot with him. Hopefully we’ll get ‘er done within the next few weeks. Until then, here’s a video of it on the dyno.

(2.0 port and polish head/Built STI Block)
Eagle Rods
850cc injectors
Hydra EMS
GT28R @ 19psi
Tial BOV
FMIC
STI 3 Row Radiator
Apexi AVC-R
Oversized forge pistons
JDM 6 speed transmission
GT Spec Header
Walbro fuel pump
Lighten flywheel
one piece aluminum driveshaft.

Andrew also owns a 240 RB25 GT35R that also got onto the dyno. Topping out at 374.7HP. Here’s a video of that as well, and hopefully we’ll get a photoshoot going with this as well!

iM: Upcoming Feature

I was going through some shots that I had forgotten about in the past and I remembered a few weeks ago I stopped by Terence’s house to check out his S2k cause he had just finished slapping on all his things and was finally ready to drive. We also slapped on his J’s hood quickly and I took some quick snaps at his new bachelor pad. We’ll be going out with Terence soon to do a proper shoot with some better shots of all his new goodies.
Until then, check out some teaser shots.

iM: Fit does Work

So Diana and I got bored today and decided to test fit the Meisters she bought from Punit. They’ve been sitting in her garage for a few months and we didn’t even test fit them to see if they fit good so I decided to do it up this afternoon. The fronts sit nice and flush, the rears are a little sunk, but it’s all good.
We still have to install the T1R S-coil springs on the beast and we’re good to go. She’s also getting the spokes refinished in a different color probably in a few weeks so they won’t be gold and we’ll have fresh new stickers. Stay tuned!

iM: Upcoming Feature

Check back soon for another great iM:Feature coming in the near future!

Here’s a couple of teaser pics…
