After the success of their first Sideways Sunday a little over a month ago, it was decided that another would be held, and a few of us were there on July 22nd to witness the action.
A big shout out to the Revwerks crew and all those who participated for keeping the car enthusiasts busy! If you’d like to participate in something like this, the next one is planned for August 12th. More info can be found here: http://forums.beyond.ca/st/357084/revwerks-autocross-3-august-12th/
Here are a few pics, more can be found here: FLICKR
This past Sunday (June 17th, 2012) a few of us from the crew got a chance to head down and check out the first Revwerks Auto-X event, “Sideways Sunday” which was held at the rear parking lot of Cross Iron Hills Mall. With no track available to drivers in the city of Calgary, the amount of cars that participated in this event was quite impressive and it definitely pointed out the fact that Calgary’s motorsports scene is not going anywhere. Check out a few pics from the event (which also showcased a few whips in the parking lot) and stay tuned for more details on another Sideways Sunday event brought to you by Revwerks in the near future! A big shout out going out to Revwerks and their staff for putting this on for Calgary’s driving enthusiasts. Enjoy the pics!
A few pics from the parking lot/parked inside the course…
We unfortunately missed this in action, but it was still dope to see.
On Saturday September 24th, 2011 Revwerks (in collaboration with Garage Box & Vinyl Appeal) held their Year-End Track Day Bash at Race City in Calgary. Not only was this the final Track Day to end the season, it was also the absolute FINAL track day for all of us at Race City, as they close their gates for good once the winter season is in full effect.
The weather definitely cooperated with the last track day ever at Race City as drivers and spectators got to kick it under the blazing sun. With a nice little showing of fresh & clean whips at the paddock, beats from DJ Impuls, BBQ’d burgers, cool refreshments and the sound of cars just ripping it down the front and back straights, this was definitely a good way to properly say farewell to Race City.
Shouts out to the Revwerks Team as well as Garage Box & Vinyl Appeal for putting on a great Track Day season finale! Without the efforts of these guys over this past racing season, none of us would’ve had the opportunity to take our cars out, develop our driving skills and put our parts to good use!
Looks like we’ll have to stay tuned next season as Revwerks does in fact have something planned for everyone in the new year! So definitely be on the lookout for that!
This Saturday, September 24, 2011 marks the FINAL Track Day at Race City Calgary brought to you by Revwerks in collaboration with Garage Box and Vinyl Appeal.
Revwerks is gonna go out with a bang to end the season as this is one of Race City’s last few days until they shut down FOR GOOD, so please join us for some lapping action, BBQ and drinks, a nice little show & shine at the paddock and some dope beats courtesy of special guest, DJ Impuls.
Once again, this is gonna be the LAST Revwerks Track Day at Race City EVER! So we encourage you all to come out and support Race City one final time.
The Year End Track Day Bash starts at 10:00am and goes until 6:00pm.
Couple of us hit up the track last Wednesday night to check out Revwerks latest track day in an effort to take advantage of the nice weather we’ve been getting as of late. Not to mention the remaining weeks/days the tracks going to be open for are quickly coming to an end.
Lots of the usual suspects ripping up the track and a few newcomers, couple pics below.
Revwerks has become a regular name at the track these past couple of years. Booking up track-days month after month. This time with a wider mix of cars and even a supercar making an appearance it was a track day to remember!
Even though the usual crowd was out enjoying the sun and track, there was another crowd who brought out their brand new BMW’s and Audi’s to put them to test. It was definitely a sight to see and we hope to see those guys out there at the next one which is scheduled for August 18th. Make sure you come out as spectating is always free!
As winter closes in and Race City imminently closing down, these Revwerks track-days maybe your last chance to enjoy some time behind the wheel or hear the sound of engines rumbling down the straight.
And as usual the parking lot is full of nice cars just begging to be tracked!
Another track day and another good turn out! Revwerks has been a great addition to Calgary’s car scene holding as many track days as possible, this one being the second of the year.
Even though it was a Monday there was a bunch of different cars out on the track although the Mitsubishi’s came out in the biggest numbers.
Unfortunately my time was short there so I didn’t get a chance to get everyone that tore it up but there was some impressive machines on the track.
Now onto the pics!
DriftSquad checking in.
Spectators, lots of people coming and going and saw this on the way out.
More pics can be found HERE. Sorry if I missed you out on the track!
Peeps, summer is coming and our guys over at Revwerks is holding their first track day on April 25th, which is roughly a month away! The homie Ryan Dandurand sent me a video he compiled from last Summer’s Track Days courtesy of RevWerks. With snow ready to fall any time now in Calgary (if it isn’t already, that is), it’s only a matter of time that we all start wishing for those summer track days again…peep the vid!
