iM Event Coverage: World of Wheels 2014

This past weekend (February 21-23, 2014) marked the 48th Annual World of Wheels in Calgary, Alberta. The World of Wheels show heralds many vintage classic and domestic vehicles that we all know and love, and also has it’s fair share of imports which we are accustom to seeing at shows such as Driven. One of the main reasons we love attending the World of Wheels however, is the fact that it is one of those shows that you gain more and more of an appreciation for every year that you attend. The reasoning behind this is because you get a real eye-opening sense of the true passion and dedication that fellow car enthusiasts have for their automobiles, and it’s certainly evident by the way that their vehicles are displayed, for the general public to see. Not only that, but the respect that these enthusiasts have for one another when competing at the World of Wheels, is quite amazing and truly inspiring.

For those who may have missed out on the event this past weekend, here’s a closer look at the 48th annual World of Wheels, definitely some new stuff at this years show along with some award winning Euro and VIP cars that you’ll see at some other shows this year!

Let’s move on to pictures from the show:

iM Event Coverage: World of Wheels 2012

This past weekend (Feb 17-19, 2012) was the 46th annual World of Wheels show which is one of the first car shows in Calgary for the new year. Having been to the show the previous year and spending a large amount of time there we decided that we would make a quick visit this year. However it turned out that the show had grown and added a bunch of different things so we ended up staying for longer then we had planned.

Exploring the floor we found a lot of new muscle mixed in with vintage classics. There was a vast variety of everything at the show including everything from rat rods, to classic delivery vans, to motorcycle from every era. It was a great show and the place was packed due to a celebrity appearance by Chip Foose, a monster truck/bike show by BigFoot and some stuntmen, the SAIT engine build competition, and many local businesses showing off their hard work.

So take a look and if you missed out be sure to visit the next year as it looks like it’ll be a lot bigger and better. Don’t miss the videos at the bottom!

SAIT Engine Build Competition – Our homies Steve and Errol took home first place! Congrats to them.
