Not even a question Peter. Prashant was highlighting the stars of the show. My car isn’t in there. No big deal though.

      Thanks Prashant!

Peter, there was over 350 cars at the show… which is reflected in the diversity of the pictures posted so far. BMW, Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, Toyota and yes even a couple Hondas were posted. If you would have read the post all the way to the end you would have seen that we still have more pictures coming later this week and then after that we’ll post even more pictures to our flickr page for you to browse through. However you might still be disappointed because we will not be posting a picture of every car that attended the show that is not our job or our intent with our event coverage.

Hey guys, I really want an answer as to why there was so many damn civics! you could of left the spots for real cars as the parking lot outside of the show had many cars much nicer than the ones in the show. I enjoyed the show but didnt like how there was a civic between every damn car. I thought it was a “car show” not a civic meet. I understand some strange people like those trash buckets but you could at least have a trash bucket (civic) section. the show would of been much classier.

By my count there were probably no more than 15 civics spanning several generations there, one EF hatchback even had a V6 stuffed in it! Guess I missed the other 175 Civics that were there……

Your kidding right? Everyone had an equal opportunity to register including myself which I chose not too, however if there is 5000 people who want to register and 300 people do it before everyone else and they drive a civic who’s fault is that?

Next time register or show up and walk around the lot and go tell everyone who drives a civic they shouldn’t have registered punk.

too bad those people who didnt own civics didnt register on time or didnt even register at all. I believe Illmotion didnt personally select the cars to participate. Its just a matter of who wanted to register for the event. And oh so please if you drive a nice non-civic then why didnt you register in the first place? People like you wont last too long in an industry like this man. SERIOUSLY. Illmotion has done a good job on successfully shaping up a safe and positive car scene atmosphere in Calgary and even in Alberta! Stop hating!

Yeah I find it funny how the supposed “stars of of the show” are highlighted but then you see pictures of a stock Ford focus on here and even the camaro won the award and it looked like it rolled right out of the dealership with a set of rims. Maybe next year I’ll buy a brand new civic and throw a fart can on so I can win an award too! I talked to numerous people who work on their own cars and have a lot of time and sweat into their build and many fine details behind the scenes where as most of the awards just went to people who own a shop or drop their car off at one and just have ton of money into their build and win because of that.

Don’t get me wrong I like their cars too but of the people I talked to I was blown away by the knowledge and dedication they have put into their project and were much more deserving of a trophy then the usual goldmine shop built cars.

Patrick, I assure you none of the cars that were given awards were solely built by the shops they were representing. Yes, the owners have had work done at the shops they were representing under but it’s wrong for you to say that the people who won these awards were the usual “goldmine shop built cars”, when they truly are not. The award winners have put in the same amount of blood, sweat and dedication as everyone else with a credible build. Choosing the Top 15 overall builds of the show & shine was not an easy task as every car is pretty deserving of an award however our panel of judges (who’ve had magazine features and have won countless awards at other car shows) did their absolute best to choose who they thought were deserving of one. This was our first time doing awards so we do expect backlash however it’s all part of the learning process and we know what to do next year to improve.

I agree with patrick, like really guys this whole thing was rigged. The give aways where rigged to shit, the awards were deffs supporting illmotion and friends of illmotion. After seeing all of this it kinda sucks that you guys hated on the non shop cars and only post your friends cars up and cars that rolled in fresh off the dealership lot. I think ill do the same next year, buy a shitty civic throw some Rota knock offs on it, a good old fart can and I’m sure ill win every award you jerks. ….

Get over it. They have supporters who win stuff, and some who don’t. At the end of the day, the supporters understand these events, and everything illmotion does, is for CHARITY. Obviously something you’re unwilling to support. If that’s the case, and you dislike illmotion so much, then stop commenting on the page, and checking it every 10 seconds to see if your car is posted up yet. Get a life and next time take the $5 registration fee and donate it directly to a charity.

I was a little upset with the winners of the bikes. I’m sorry but te one Suzuki with a cut off tail basically looks like it came out of a fresh accident. And whatever the other one was. Both street fighter style bike. Whoop ti do. I can imagine the hrs and money spent to the guy wo had the fully airbrushed transformers bike. That bike was by far hands down the winner by a long shot and a few people might agree

This was a charity event. If you want a picture of your car look around the internet as I’m sure you’ll find pics from the 100+ photographers that were there that day…or maybe bring your own camera next time and spend the 6 hours you were there shooting a picture of the 300+ cars that were there that day.

You paid good money to support this? LOL your $5 you spent is probably a drop in the bucket when it comes to hosting a show like this. Not only was it practically free to register and come look at cars, everything was for charity which entitles you to nothing with your $5 of good money spent to support. I’m sure there is a 100 people in line behind you willing to spend $5 and not worry about being cut out of a picture. Your cars probably not very photogenic anyways.

well that five dollars adds up and its not about the money its about illmotion states they support all makes and models of cars yet 95% of photos are of honda/acura/subaru… and 4% of them are shops and that last 1% is randoms just so it looks fair. david by the sounds of it you are a honda guy but dont worry we are not hating because we all chill at the beyond meets so by no means am i hating but dont be two faced about promoting all cars thats all i am saying long story short so get your shit together. And maybe start drifting you fags 😉 and get rid of your fart cans oh btw Mc donalds food trays are a good way to start 😛
