This mash-up of Pick-n-pull and Kijiji parts started out as a bone-stock, Grandma-spec 2000 Subaru Impreza Brighton wagon. (Not joking, bought from an 80 year old woman.) From there, it turned into a Father / Son project between my Dad and I, with him doing the research, and me helping at pick-n-pull, doing simple tasks or things that require child-sized hands. The base idea was the Subaru-part-only lift. Knowing that the Brighton was a base model bucket of simplicity, we were ecstatic that it did, in fact come with air conditioning. However, the sad, non-bolstered seats had to go, and […]
I’m sure many of you YYC locals have seen this car around, whether it be at the Wednesday night Beyond meets, Grey Eagle Casino meets, the illmotion Sunday School show and shine, or just out rolling on the streets. This project is a thing of beauty and a dream for many enthusiasts, and I have finally had the opportunity to shoot it. Here is Jonny’s SR20 swapped AE86: Mango juice for boost anyone?
First of all, I’d like to give a HUGE thank you to United Cycle and the surrounding businesses. Not only do they allow us to host events there, they also continue to welcome us back, even after people make a mess of the lot and park like absolute knobs. *This is my Team Royalty / illmotion coverage of the 2014 Season Closer event, hosted by 780Tuners. This years closer was a great success, with a large turnout. Might I also add, the weather made it MUCH more enjoyable than the opener. This being my first year really attending meets and […]
Maybe we’ll see this thing back on the road next year?
The end of summer has come around leaving us with fond memories of flip flops, popsicles, and short skirts 😛 As fall approaches I figured id get a few guys together for a bunch of photos before the cars get put away for the winter. I grabbed my camera and gear and our first stop leads us to this Suzuka Blue S2000, mildly modified to specific regulations for competitive racing. Then we head out into the night with a new Audi S4 and a couple of Japanese favorites! We even stopped by the local car meet for a bit of eye candy!
Many of you all already know that October is Breast Cancer awareness month & here at illmotion we want to do our best to help out a great cause. To help raise awareness, we have some new decals in store which represent the Breast Cancer awareness color, PINK! With Breast cancer affecting approximately 200,000 women each year we cannot sit back without doing our part to fight it. These are a super limited edition decal so get them while we have them, as once they are gone, they are gone. So, purchase one, two or ten, just know that you’re […]
Cardel Home’s hosted their sixth annual Quarry Park and Polish car show on September 13th, 2014 to raise money for madd. It had resulted in a great turnout with great weather, despite having already had snow earlier that week.
In association with Team Royalty, I present to you, Gas Run. This is the first of the member videos for the team, as well as the premiere for Risky Business drift garage, the child of Curtis Chornohos.
Trying to expand our coverage of the car scene in Western Canada, the illmotion crew tries to get around to cities that are close by to check out what’s new in the car scene. This is how we first met the Varty brothers. After multiple trips up to Edmonton and the two of them appearing at shows in Calgary, we always seemed to run in to them snapping pictures and recording video, so right away we had similar interests. Soon after meeting Isaac and his brother Daniel, they came down to Calgary and put together an amazing video of our […]
Now we normally stick to highly modified street cars that in some cases are also very capable track cars here at iM, in this case we have a STO prepped race car that is also street driveable. It’s normally only commuted to and from the track but with a little convincing we managed to get the car out onto the streets for a few photos! Mandatory track snaps included of course!
