iM Highlight: Jason’s Evo X

If there was ever a person that I’ve known with ‘car ADHD’, it has to be Jason. He’s gone through a ton of modified cars from all different types, including (in no specific order) an innovative for its time turbo Cavalier, 3 different Honda Civics (one of them an 08 turbo Si), a Subaru WRX, a Mitsubishi Eclipse, an Acura EL, RSX, and 3 highly modified S2000s. His current work in progress is the Evolution X you see in these pics.

The Mitsubishi Evolution X (or 10) debuted for sale in Japan in October 2007, in the USA in January 2008, and for the first time ever, a Lancer Evolution came to Canadian dealerships in February 2008. A completely new redesign on the exterior came, along with a new motor coming away from the tried and true 4G63, which was quite controversial. But one thing held true from its predecessors, its tunability. The Evo X has responded well to mods and has become one of the hottest new cars to own and modify.

It’s because of the Evo’s positive reception to tuning and modifying that Jason just had to build one for himself. Peep the current set up Jason is running on the Evolution:

Considering the Evo X is quick out of the box, a few simple and functional mods such as Cobb’s AccessPort Stage 2 Power Package, a down pipe and test pipe from Ultimate Racing, and the T1R 90R Catback exhaust is just enough to give this beast the extra “umph” it needs to get away from anyone who dares cross in it’s path.

Jason’s choice in dropping the Evo with the Eibach Pro Kit definitely compliment the Custom White Finish 5Zigen Wheels he decided to go with as well. And with exterior Carbon pieces from Seibon (Front lip and rear spoiler), there’s no mistaking Jason’s Evo when he’s out and about the city.

Since Jason has what I like to call “Car ADHD”, will we see more progress from this whip in the future? Well…that’s up to Jason.
