iM: Punit’s Suspension Work

Got called over to Jackie’s place this evening for an install party on his front and rear camber arms. Being replaced with buddyclub’s.
Well after a while of standing around, we all decided to get to work. First we had to grind off his rear bolts because they were seized up to the bushing. Next thing, JC, Punit and I finished off the fronts pretty quick. Gangsterrr

No other pics until it’s complete.
It’s coming along quick now! Look out for a photoshoot!

iM: Integra First Drive

So yesterday i had the chance to drive the car for the first time this year. I still need to put the exhaust on, and it seems like it is throwing a Crank Sensor code so ill have to look more into that. Here’s a video from the first drive. Stay tuned, with the Driven car show just around the corner, there will be many update’s with my car.

Enjoy

Integra Start up. You can’t really hear how loud it is until you are sitting in the car.

Cant take it over 3000k just because of the Crank sensor.

illmotion stickers sold out!

Once again, with the amount of support that we’ve been receiving from everyone, literally around the world, we have run out of stickers again.
I just wanna say that for us, this means that we have been getting good reception and that everyone supports the movement that so many of us have been trying to get going.

There are many, hundreds, possibly thousands of blogs and sites out there that have similar goals. That is to help bring back the tuning scene the right way, to help recognize the cars that deserve recognition, or simply to participate and contribute to the hobby that may possibly be our addiction.

Because of everyone’s efforts, I’ve been noticing more and more quality cars, better enthusiasm and most of all, more respect among tuners that had once been diminished. In the end, it really isn’t the brand of wheels you have, how low you are or how wide your wheels can be. For us at illmotion, we think that a well done car is just that – a well done car.

Well, that’s my spiel. Thanks again to everyone for the support, and remember to spread the word about us to friends, suggest us on facebook and follow us on twitter. We are working hard on creating a great booth for Driven on June 12th, so for all the locals that are reading this, you better make sure to come to the show and show your support! There will be more news in the coming days about Driven x illmotion.

iM: Random Snaps

The rain yesterday was a pretty nice change from the snow that we’ve been having. Ironic because we just went through the snowfall warning of 10-20cm overnight. Calgary weather is so messed up.
Anyways, I decided to do a quick rain shoot with any lots that were nearby because I got kind of bored.

On another note, Driven is only 2 weeks away!! oh em gee

No shots of the front cause it’s not ready yet 😀 haha

Meet

iM: Weekly Beyond.ca Meet

It was a good turnout this Wednesday for the weekly beyond meets that usually go down. I took quite a bit of pictures surprisingly so be ready for a picture heavy post. Click “Continue Reading” for the rest of the pics.
As always, there are many quality cars that come out that you don’t usually see out. Good to meet new people and see fresh new rides.

iM: Just In Case You Were Wondering…

For those that have been wondering what’s been up with the lack of updates on ill.motion.com, we want to apologize to you all!

Our reasoning is we’ve all been prepping our cars and getting organized for Calgary’s 2010 Driven show going down June 12th at the Olympic Oval.

That may seem like a lame excuse but most of us just simply have not had the time to browse the web, do photoshoots, and feature some of the sickest cars that you’re accustomed to seeing here.

But don’t worry, we’ll try posting what we can and soon enough we’ll get back to doing what we do best!

Check back on the site for updates and what we’ve got in store for this year’s Driven show.

Save the date!

We hope to see y’all there!

Let’s GO!

iM: EP3 Interior Pt. 2

Finally got motivated to finish the damn cage this weekend….. first let me highly recommend that anyone thinking of installing a cage to strongly consider not keeping a full interior haha. Anyways here it is in all it’s glory.

The cage came black and I was just gonna keep it that way but figured I’d change it up a bit. Talked to the Screamin’ boys and they recommended Calgary Powdercoating for a simple white paint job. Just over a week later this was the result. Not only were they fast but they were cheap! $100 to sandblast, prep and powder the entire cage.

Next step was removing the entire rear interior…. pain in the ass haha. There must be 300 plastic clips holding all this shit together.

Drilling time. No turning back now haha.

Dremelling the panels.

Test fit attempt #1 of probably a dozen tries haha. Gotta get it perfect.

So then once everything was tightened down (to make sure it all fit) we had to pull it all back out to seal the plates.

Done…. now the jigsaw puzzle putting the interior back in with all the bars in the way. Glad it’s not a 6 point cage, would have been impossible haha.

Every things back in when I realize the holes I spent hours trimming perfectly are covered by the seat belts. Oh well.

Done! So happy with the outcome.

Manta

This past weekend while driving through New Hope I passed this old car dealership and caught a glimpse of what i thought looked like a first gen Toyota Celica. They’re pretty rare, so I wanted to go check it out. After a closer look, I realized that it was an Opel by its unmistakable lightning bolt badge. Some of you might not appreciate a car like this, but I love the odd and more rare cars such as this one. This was Opel’s answer to Ford’s Capri back in the 70’s and was exclusively sold through Buick Dealerships being owned by GM.
