In recent years J’s Racing popularity has gone through the roof. Their products are distributed through many North American distributors now and slightly easier (minus the wait times) to get into your hands and onto your car. Also attributed to their popularity would be the current trend to build track ready cars with track inspired parts. Whether that’s your thing or not, the quality of J’s parts can’t be denied. First up we have the J’s Racing CRZ. Galen wasn’t able to get too much information out of the J’s crew but he did learn that they’ve up’d the compression [...]
Next us on our Japan Shop Spotlights we have Honda tuners Feel’s & Seeker and also a quick stop at K.Break. | Feel’s: First up is Feel’s who had their street & track CTR’s on display. If I owned an 8th gen civic I think that there would be lots of Feel’s areo finding its way onto the car. Love the widebody fenders on these two. More Feel’s pictures can be found on our Flickr page HERE | Seeker: Unfortunately there wasn’t anyone at Seeker that spoke any english so it was just a quick stop checking out their parking [...]
After Galen’s trip to Tokyo Auto Salon 2012, he also decided to check out some of the Japanese performance shops that we all know and love. One of his first stops was Spoon Sports/Type One. Unfortunately Spoon is under some renovations so he wasn’t able to get inside. Regardless this post is dedicated to the Honda fanboys. Enjoy! Spoon CRZs Spoon CR93 and a Couple ECUs Spoon Motor Rib for the Honda CRZ. Couple of cars outside. Spoon Civic and Spoon Honda S2000. Kind of funny seeing the Mugen RR Civic at Type One. More Type One pictures can be [...]
Only at the Tokyo Auto Salon do you end up with the quality of cars pictured below scattered through the spectator parking lots. Make sure you scroll all the way down. More parking lot pictures can be found on our Flickr page HERE
Mid-way through winter, I always find myself looking through albums upon albums trying to relapse what happened during the beautiful summer months. It doesn’t seem like that long ago the sun was shining high in the sky, and there were car shows at least every single weekend. One of my most memorable shows I went to last season was the Stanceworks and Waterwerks show down in Tacoma WA. One of the most interesting aspects of the show was the limbo contest. Here are a few random snaps that never made it in my original article.
Gonna take a little break from the awesome coverage from Tokyo Auto Salon/Japan and share a little video we created for Gangster D’s Spoon’ed out Honda S2000. Gangster D’s S2K was featured a little over a month ago here on illmotion so without further adieu we are proud to present to you yet another iM Film! Enjoy! Check out the full feature on this Spoon S2K here.
First I just wanted to recap and link up all the previous posts in case you missed some or are just tuning in now. There’s pretty crazy stuff in all the links so if you have a minute definitely check them out. Part 1 – The Preview Part 2 – Mugen RR CRZ + more Part 3 – The Vendors Part 4 – BenSopra GTR’s + more Second off I’d like to thank Galen for all the awesome coverage he’s been able to send our way. When he mentioned he was attending the event I knew our readers would enjoy [...]
Going to jump into some more coverage of a some other cars that caught my eye. First up, and now that I’ve been through the pics several times this is probably my favorite car of the show…. the Greddy X BenSopra GTR. I would agree that the aero is way over the top but what the hell, why not. One piece front end, rear bumper mounted GT wing, crazy widebody fenders and vents everywhere haha. Go big or go home. With the aero kit running a staggering 3,500,000 JPY ($46,000 CAD) and the wing another 500,000 JPY ($6,500 CAD) to [...]
Today we’re going take a quick look at some the more popular manufacturer booths that were at the show. Also this is only a small portion of the booths/products on display, figured I keep it limited to some of the more recognizable names. Getting started with Work Wheels. They dropped their new Meister S1R & M1R wheels last year which they had on display in their various color/finish options. Also looks like they’re offering the Meister in truck fitment. They also had their Equip line of wheels on display. Wish I had a car to rock those Meister CR-01′s (bottom [...]
Here we go with part 2 of our TAS 2012 coverage. Still having a hard time picking what to post as there so much I think you guys will like. Going to save all the product/wheel stuff for one day next week and probably will have a weird/wild/crazy car post sometime next week as well. There’s plenty of odd stuff over in Japan that is cool to see. Gonna start with one of my favorites from the first batch of pictures… the Mugen RR CRZ concept car. Not only did they have the orange one that has been all over [...]
