5th Annual Sunday School Show & Shine (Part 4)…

As we wrap up our coverage for this year’s Sunday School Show & Shine, we just want to take this time to announce the donation amount going to the Calgary Humane Society. Thanks to the support of all the local shops, car clubs and each and every one of you who whether it be donating or buying illmotion merchandise that day, together we managed to raise a record $5000.00 plus and additional $500 from ATB Financial for a total of $5500.00 all of which will be going to the Calgary Humane Society! Amazing job everyone!

To conclude our 5th Annual illmotion Sunday School Show & Shine coverage series, we would like to recognize and acknowledge those who made this year’s “Honour Roll”.

But before we get to that, we would like to once again thank all of you for making this event so successful every year! As mentioned in Part 1, this show would not be around if it weren’t for the constant love and support that we get from all of you. We cannot stress enough how vital you guys are to making Sunday School what it is today! So if you ever sponsored the event, registered your vehicle solo or with a crew, or attended Sunday School with your friends and family, we truly thank you.

5th Annual illmotion Sunday School Show & Shine (Part…

Sunday August 9th, 2015 marked our 5th Annual Sunday School Show & Shine. Continuing in typical Sunday School fashion, enthusiasts from Calgary and surrounding areas reunited at Max Bell Centre to showcase their hard work, dedication and passion all whilst doing it for a charitable cause, with proceeds going to the Calgary Humane Society this year!

Every year certainly continues to grow more and more but none of this would be possible without the support of all the enthusiasts, car clubs, local shops and sponsors. With that said, we can’t stress enough that there is nothing we love more than bringing the car community together for a charitable cause!

As the day was certainly busy for the crew here at illmotion, we would like to take this time to recognize and thank everyone who made this year’s show a success!

First off, a BIG thank you to our co-host and sponsor, Beyond.Ca! Thank you for making this event possible every year for our city!

Many thanks going out to (in no particular order) the shops/sponsors for this year’s Sunday School: Speedoptions, Autodream Motorsports, Balance Auto Garage, The Gear Shop, Haute AG Motorsport, Calgary Autoworks, Country Hills Toyota, South Pointe Toyota, Charlesglen Toyota, Vex Performance, Fineline Customworks, Icon Tinting & Graphics, JordanLotoski.com Real Estate, ATB Financial, Melrose Cafe & Bar, BagBarn.ca, Lithium Autosport, Dub Dynasty, Team Revere, Ridehype.com and last but not least, ThreeTwenty for sponsoring the “Honour Roll” Awards this year!

We would also like to give a special shout out and send mad love to our extended illmotion family for helping us on what was another scorcher of a day! Mucho gracias going out to Alex, Justin, Aldo, Baller Divina, Jackie, Isaac, Nikhil, Brad, Jen, Jimmy of Vex/Poorform & Jason of LifeWithJson for all the help throughout the day. Aldrich aka DJ Candy Boy & Rukus J for dropping nothing but the finest tunes! And of course a HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Diana, Cindy, Barb & Nat for manning the illmotion booth all day! We cannot thank you guys enough for everything!!!

Finally, we cannot forget to acknowledge and are always grateful for YOU GUYS! As mentioned above, this show is nothing without the love and support that you guys have constantly given us every year to make this show what it is, and it certainly does get bigger and better every year, and it’s this continuous love and support that drives us to make every Sunday School a memorable one! Thank you guys so much!

Stay tuned for the announcement regarding the donation amount going to the Calgary Humane Society!

In the meantime, let’s take a look at some coverage from this year’s event…

iM Event Coverage: Driven 2015 Part 1

The first car show of the 2015 season has come and gone! The 14th Annnual Driven Car Show (sponsored by Beyond.ca) made it’s way to Calgary this past weekend. With over 350 cars coming together filling the entire Olympic Oval, this was by far the largest Driven show ever. The quality of cars from Calgary and surrounding areas continue to get better every year. Cars traveled from as far as Winnipeg as well for the opportunity to showcase their builds and make this one of the best shows to date.

Congratulations to all those who were awarded this year including Alex Markovic (Acura Integra), Trung Nguyen (Honda S2000), Benji Tran (Acura TSX), Randy Chau (Honda S600), JC Tenchavez (Lexus CT), Clyde Sayuno (Acura NSX), Ryan O’Hara (Honda Civic), Angie Kwok (Honda Delsol), Micheal Boulanger (Mazda Rx7), who all represented with illmotion.

We here at illmotion would also like to take this time to thank the beautiful Donnah Pham for hanging out with us at our booth! It was definitely an honor to have you in our booth and we really hope you enjoyed the show as much we did!

Also a big shout out to our own Aldrich Evangelista for providing the beats and DJing for almost 8 hours straight! Amazing work Rich!

Finally, we would like to thank all of you because in all actuality, there would be no “Driven” without the support of you guys as we encourage each other, and practically push each other to get our cars ready to roll for shows like this. Thank you guys for making Driven 2015 a success yet again for our scene! It was definitely awesome seeing some familiar faces and meeting new ones, which is exactly what it’s all about; and what a perfect way to re-introduce the Summer season!

Moving on, we do have lots of pictures from the show courtesy of Jason at lifewithjson.com which will be separated into parts over the next few days. Huge thanks to Jason for providing us with coverage as most of us were very busy running our booth the entire day. So let’s kick things off with Part 1 of our iM Event Coverage: Driven 2015 Calgary.

Enjoy!

iM Event Coverage: 2015 780 Tuners Season Opener

On May 2nd the annual 780 Tuners Season Opener took place in Edmonton, and despite the rather poor weather conditions still drew a massive crowd. Cars were being parked wherever they would fit and some even wound up on the surrounding streets! The reason for the madness was a heavy rain storm which ended just before the scheduled start of the meet, resulting in a huge number of cars heading over to and arriving at the United Cycle lot at the same time.

For those who have never been to the Season Opener, it’s a fun way to kick off the season and a great excuse for a little road trip. This year Bill was present and grabbed some photos of the event, showing some of the cars on hand. We hope you enjoy!

iM Event Coverage: 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon Part 1

Once again we have a great deal of thanks to go out to our good friend Galen for providing us with an endless supply of TAS coverage. Without further adieu 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon coverage….

Check back this weekend for Part 2 feature the best Hondas of TAS 15.

iM Film: 780Tuners Season Closer 2014

First of all, I’d like to give a HUGE thank you to United Cycle and the surrounding businesses. Not only do they allow us to host events there, they also continue to welcome us back, even after people make a mess of the lot and park like absolute knobs. *This is my Team Royalty / illmotion coverage of the 2014 Season Closer event, hosted by 780Tuners. This years closer was a great success, with a large turnout. Might I also add, the weather made it MUCH more enjoyable than the opener.

This being my first year really attending meets and events, I love the community that’s formed at United Cycle meets. These season opening and closing events are just a glimpse at the groups of people, and the hearts behind the scene here. Everyone has there own “crew”, their own tastes and distastes, but in the end its about the fun times. Whether you like cruising to and from the meets, or having a coffee, talking with some random dude about your cars, you can’t have a bad time at these meets. Although, if you’re doing burnouts, doughnuts, or anything really dumb that would land you a ticket -expect to get asked to leave. Anyone that hasn’t been out to the weekly meets, come out on a Friday night and have a good time. You won’t regret it.

I hope to see you all next season!
