It was a gorgeous night out for the last 403 Honda/Beyond.ca at Chinook, and that meant a really awesome turnout, the best turnout we’ve seen all season. Hopefully the meets stay as busy as they have been, if not busier! Here’s a few of the many shots I took. To see the rest, check out the set on our Flickr stream: HERE And for my buddy Aldo, I know where you hide your snacks now… in your bumper. Make sure to come on down and hang out the next meet at Chinook on May 1st, 2013.
iM Event Coverage: Weekly 403 Honda/Beyond.ca Meet – April 10, 2013
You can almost feel it in the air. The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, and the cars that have been hiding are starting to come out. The season is almost upon us, and for a handful of people, it already has. And that means the 403 Honda/Beyond.ca weekly meets are starting to get into full swing. I’ve been to a few already, and they’ve been starting to get busier and busier. Here are a few snaps I took that somewhat darker night, then it got cold, so I put the camera away: For more shots, check [...]
iM Feature: Terry Woo’s 1998 Acura Integra Type-R
You’ve heard it over and over again, and anyone with a true project car will swear by it: a project car is never truly finished, it just continues to progress and get better over time. A lot of cars come and go, but it’s the ones that come out and continue to keep up with the times that truly stand out and set the tone for both newcomers and those already familiar to the scene. As repetitive as we may sound regarding project cars that are never done and maintain consistency, there’s a particular Integra Type-R that takes everything we’ve [...]
iM Event Coverage: Weekly 403 Honda/Beyond.ca Meet – July 18, 2012
A few of us made it out to the Beyond.ca weekly meet at chinook this week and it was a pretty decent turn out so I had to grab the camera and snap a few pics. If you feel like attending, these are held every Wednesday if the weather is decent at the top rear parkade of Chinook Centre/Mall. There is something we do need to mention. There were a few dangerous incidents that happened last night by others. We all have the urge to do stuff like burnouts, drifts and stuff like that after meets and such, but just [...]
iM Highlight: Taylor’s 1994 GSR
Most of my friends have always known me as a VW kind of guy, and some of you might remember my old feature with my VR6 swapped Mk2 Jetta Coupe. Hanging around with nothing but Honda guys, it was only a matter of time before they would have me converted. After 4 years of convincing I finally caved in and picked up this 1994 GSR. I picked up the car with the intention of doing a full itr replica, while the car already had the jdm front end with various other itr spec parts, I have accumulated numerous parts to [...]
iM Film: Derrek’s 1994 Acura Integra RS
Running a little behind on our video editing but better late then never. Here is a follow up to Derrek’s feature from a few weeks ago. Check out the full feature on Derrek’s Integra here.
iM Flashback: Driven 2010 Recap
With Driven 2012 coming up quickly, we thought it’d be a good idea to look back and see what everyone had to offer in 2010 and what we can look forward to for this year. Since Driven was skipped for us in 2011 – there has been a significant amount of time for everybody to get their whips refreshed. From new cars, to new parts, complete overhauls or tweaks to an already existing minty car, we think this will be the best Driven yet. We have a handful of fresh new faces joining us this year and it’s only a [...]
iM Feature: Derrek Poyntz’s 1994 Acura Integra RS
Without a doubt, any single person who has ever had a project car/build knows about the many phases a project can go through. Some will have classic elements that are just timeless, cannot be touched and stay with the car until the wheels fall off, while others are pieces that were questionable from the very start, and are now considered horrible trends that should never ever go back on a car. Despite the trends however, we can all agree that every single solid, virtually timeless item taken from a car owner’s phase is what makes any project or build so [...]
iM Feature: Punit Patel’s 2001 Acura Integra
When one initially steps into the car scene, you see what others do and take note. Some follow suit, others directly copy another one’s style and there are a few who will break that barrier and do something that’s completely unheard of. Eventually, one will start to realize that a real project car, always progresses and will never really be, a “finished” project. When illmotion’s very own Punit Patel was in search of his project car, he sought after one of Japan’s most popular tuned cars, the Honda Integra. Known as the Acura Integra here in North America, Punit originally [...]
iM: Random Snaps
Yesterday turned out to be one awesome, hot day. Like always, whenever it’s nice we like to shoot the shit and drive around aimlessly. Went to Peter’s to grab a bite and some milkshakes and then cruised out. Got some snaps… just to keep you busy until you guys get your shirts
