And just like that, our third installment of our Sunday School Show & Shine series is over.
But before we begin with coverage from this year’s Sunday School Show & Shine we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors who made this year so successful. First off we’d like to thank Beyond.Ca, Poorform, Tunerworks, Car2Go, Autotech Performance and Security, Zero Limit Automotive, Autodream, Canada Motorcyle, Calgary Auto Spa, Concept-1, Compact Tuning Lab, Stampede Toyota/Scion, South Point Toyota/Scion, Charlesglen Toyota/Scion, 1st Gear Auto, SpeedOptions, Top Speed Auto, Lithium Autosport, Matrix Motorsports, Country Hills Toyota/Scion, Drive Clean Calgary, Fineline Customworks, Icon Tinting & Graphics and last but not least Vex Performance for sponsoring this year’s Sunday School Show & Shine. With the support of all the local shops in and around Calgary you guys are the reason Sunday School gets better and better every year.
Next, we’d like to thank all those who came out to help during set up and those who were out to assist us during the entire show. A big thank you and shouts out going out to Ryan M., Gopesh, Steve, Justin, Alex and Adrian during set up/roll-in, our friends from Poorform for hooking up the DJ/Audio Equipment, illmotion’s own Aldrich Evangelista & Poorform’s Jimmy Bailey for providing the tunes, and Waffles and Chix for coming out and providing food & drinks. We also gotta give a HUGE thanks and mad love to Carla and Barb for manning the illmotion booth for the entire day alongside Punit and JC. We owe you guys big time for all your help!!!
Finally, we would like to thank all of you. Because without you guys coming out and supporting us whether you registered your car for Sunday School, came out to check out the show, donate to the Lupus Society of Alberta (in loving memory of Lanein Reynoso and those we’ve lost from Lupus), or picked up some illmotion merchandise, without this support from any of you guys, Sunday School would not be as successful as it has been since 2010.
In regards to this year’s Sunday School Show & Shine, the combination of super hot weather (3rd year in a row), good beats, good cars, and amazing people coming together for a good cause definitely made this THE show that everyone will be talking about for a while. This year’s show was without a doubt the busiest one out of the three shows we’ve put on and we can’t help but applaud the Calgary car scene and the caliber of the cars that are coming out to make Sunday School better and better every year. Quality is definitely starting to make more of an impact at these type of events and it was certainly evident at this year’s show and shine. With that said, there’s no denying the stress and difficulty our judges had choosing their Top 15 cars for Sunday School 2013 but we would like to congratulate those who were awarded! The Top 15 “Honour Roll” list is as follows…
illmotion’s Sunday School Show & Shine 2013 “Honour Roll” list (in no particular order):

Let’s keep things moving with Part 1 of our Coverage from this year’s show…
Be sure to check back for more pics later in the week.
With Sunday School now less than a week away, the team at illmotion is working hard to put the finishing touches on the day.
Now onto some details for the day!
-Roll in begins at 10AM sharp, please show up as close to 10AM as possible, but not before, so we can get all the cars into the lot in an orderly fashion.
-If you are parking as a group, roll-in as a group please.
-We will not tolerate any horse(power) play, which means no excessive revving, spinning of tires, or ‘showing off’. If we see anything like this you will be asked to leave.
-Any garbage from food/items that is brought onto the premises or purchased from the food trucks is to be placed in the trash. We want to keep this place clean!
-The draw for the prizes will be held through out the day so get your tickets into the draw early!
-“Honour Roll” awards will be announced at the end of the show so stick around to see who will win.
That’s all! We will see everyone August 18th!
Importfest 2013 took place last weekend in Toronto and the best of the best from the Toronto area were on showcase once again. Also wanted to congratulate the Level One homies for taking home some awards, Dan with 3rd place baddest NSX and baddest stance (static), Steve with baddest EK Civic and DC for 3rd place baddest Golf.
Enjoy! And be sure to check out the link at the bottom of the post for tons more pictures from the event.

Better late than never, right? Sorry for the delay, been busy over here. Here are a bunch of pics from the July 24th 403 Honda/Beyond.ca meet. Nice to see the diversity in vehicles continue with more and more cars from different manufacturers showing up.
Here are a few snaps from the night, these and more can be found here on our Flickr set: HERE

See you guys again soon!
Saturday July 20th marked approximately 5 years since my last drift event (seriously; circa 2008, DMCC days).
I can’t really offer a good reason why, other than life happened. I got busy with work and eventually kind of fell out of love with photography for awhile, putting me on a bit of a hiatus over the last couple years as a photographer…but after Saturday’s event, I’m not quite sure how I managed to stay away.
Being out at Stratotech brought a rush of good vibes and great memories. From seeing friends I don’t see nearly enough, to admiring the evolution and fruition of the effort of those that pour their heart and soul into making their cars and the scene better, I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday.
So if you haven’t been to an event before, hopefully the following photos will convinced you to attend one in the near future( seriously, you should).
– Kevin
P.S. : If you want to see more, feel free to visit the gallery on Flickr, or the gallery on Facebook for more images (and maybe even some in colour!).
On Saturday July 20th 2013, Calgary’s Stanley Park set the stage for two car shows that had something specifically for European Car enthusiasts, but something for all car lovers as well. The event brought together two separate entities, Das Volks and the European Classic, and it all went down in the heart of Stanley Park. With an eclectic array of modern and vintage Volkswagens from Das Volks AND an amazing arsenal of various Euro makes and models (Triumph, Mercedes, Ferrari to name a few) on hand for the European Classic, this was undeniably THE car show to be at this past weekend. A few of us from the crew were able to spend some time under the hot sun and check out the festivities that went down in Stanley Park, so enjoy a few pics taken while we were there!
A quick shout out to those who organized both Das Volks and the European Classic as this was a great show to check out with your family, friends, and pets!
Let’s move on to the pics!

Welcome to another entry of pics from the July 17th edition of the weekly 403 Honda/Beyond.ca Meets at Chinook Centre. Last Wednesday was an interesting one. Around 5pm a big rain storm hit the city again, causing a few roads to flood once more and all but kill the hope of going to the Wednesday meet. But alas, as quickly as the storm came, it ended. Afterwards there was tons of sun, and the roads dried up fairly quickly, so I decided to make the trek down to Chinook to see how few people showed up. As you can see in these pictures, surprisingly it was an awesome turnout. Great to have people dedicated to their hobby as much as they are.
Here are a few snaps from the night, I tried my best to work with the bright sun and long shadows. These and more can be found here on our Flickr set: HERE
How romantic! =P
Before we end it here, even though I shouldn’t have to say it, there have been several incidents in the last few weeks to lead me to believe otherwise, so I’ll say it again. No speeding or BOVing up the ramp, no drifting, no revving engines, no super loud music, no burnouts. Basically, don’t do stuff that you wouldn’t do if a cop was hanging out there. We have a decent relationship with the staff and security at Chinook Centre because we are respectful to their lot and the residences across the street (who have on occasion called in to mall security and/or police because of these said hooligans). Don’t do stupid things to ruin it for the rest of the people who enjoy hanging out there.
Hope to see you guys all well behaved on Wednesday!
It’s that time of the year again!
Last year, we held our 2nd Sunday School Show & Shine showcasing the creme de la creme of imports, domestics and exotics that Calgary (and surrounding area) had to offer. It has the distinction of being one of the first lupus organizations in the world. Since its establishment, the LSA has remained a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization.

See you there!
It took a while, but its finally here and ready for your viewing pleasure! On May 11th 2013, the Olympic Oval in Calgary once again opened its doors to host yet another Driven show. With over 250 cars in attendance, and hundreds of people out and about to check out what went down, we are happy to share with y’all our take on the show as seen through our eyes. We would like to take this time to thank everyone that came out to rep with us, and also to the beautiful Melyssa Grace for coming down and hanging with us. Also, we cannot forget to thank y’all for coming down and checking out the show.
So without further adieu, here is our fashionably late take on the show that was Driven 2013. Enjoy!
