iM Highlight: Varty Brother’s Civic & Del Sol

Trying to expand our coverage of the car scene in Western Canada, the illmotion crew tries to get around to cities that are close by to check out what’s new in the car scene. This is how we first met the Varty brothers. After multiple trips up to Edmonton and the two of them appearing at shows in Calgary, we always seemed to run in to them snapping pictures and recording video, so right away we had similar interests.

Soon after meeting Isaac and his brother Daniel, they came down to Calgary and put together an amazing video of our cars. Be sure to check it out at https://vimeo.com/isaacvarty

Here are some photos of the Varty brothers Honda’s!

iM Highlight: Sean’s EVO X STO Race Car

Now we normally stick to highly modified street cars that in some cases are also very capable track cars here at iM, in this case we have a STO prepped race car that is also street driveable. It’s normally only commuted to and from the track  but with a little convincing we managed to get the car out onto the streets for a few photos! Mandatory track snaps included of course!

iM Random Snaps: United Cycle Thursdays

Here are a few shots from the weekly get together at United Cycle. First off is this gorgeous R34 GTR which showed up fairly early in the evening, attracting a large crowd as well as another GTR. Because, well, who doesn’t love this iconic ride?

iM Film: illmotion Show & Shine 2014

August 17th, 2014 marked the fourth annual illmotion Sunday School Show & Shine. We had great weather again so we decided to bring out the video cameras and capture the event on film. With the largest show yet, and only a few hours to shoot, we did our best to capture as much of the show as possible.

We’d like to dedicate the show to a very close friend that we lost this past year, Sheree Evangelista.

Enjoy!

iM Sunday School Show & Shine 2014: The Wrap…

With another successful Sunday School event behind us, it’s time to wrap up the event coverage and finish off with some more good news! The astounding support we garnered from this years show helped us raise a total of $3750.00 for a great charity, Canadian Red Cross, in addition ATB Financial helped out and added $500.00, bringing our grand total to $4250.00!

Every year the team here at illmotion strives to give back as much as possible to the community and support various charities, and with the continuous support from everyone that visits our site, attends our shows or purchases product we are able to achieve this. Because of this we want to send out a huge thank-you to all of our supporters and to everyone who does what they can to support our scene.

All of the goods purchased at the show went quick, but if you missed out head on over to the store to get your hands on it before its sold out.

Last but not least are photos from Bill MacKenzie @thetwentieth of ThreeTwenty MackenCo @officialthreetwenty. Enjoy!

iM Sunday School Show & Shine 2014: Photos Part…

The illmotion crew was very busy the day of the show making sure everything was running smooth so we were only able to capture video of the event (which is in the works). We have reached out to a few photographers that attended the show and they have kindly shared their photos from the event.

Here are a few pictures that our first guest photographer Braeden Park captured. Be sure to check out his Instagram page @braedendpark

iM Sunday School Show & Shine 2014 – Event…

With Sunday School now less than a week away, the team at illmotion is working hard to put the finishing touches on the day. The show is completely FULL, and all the people from the wait list that we were able to add in have been contacted. Unfortunatily if you are not on the registration list you will be asked to park in the visitor parking lot.

Now onto some details for the day!
-Roll in begins at 10AM sharp, please show up as close to 10AM as possible, but not before, so we can get all the cars into the lot in an orderly fashion.
-If you are parking as a group please try and roll-in together.
-We will not tolerate any horse(power) play, which means no excessive revving, spinning of tires, or ‘showing off’. If we see anything like this you will be asked to leave.
-Please clean up after yourself, there will be a few garbage cans placed around the site. We want to keep this place clean!
-Spectating is free, so if you’re not entered in the show please come down and enjoy this great event.
-Prizes will be drawn at the end of the day, you must be there to claim the prize.
-“Honour Roll” awards will be announced at the end of the show so stick around to see who will win!

Draw tickets will be available at the illmotion tent, 3 for $5 or 10 for $10 and can be entered to win any of these great prizes.
