illmotion x Driven 2010 – Part II

Well, part II of my posts from Driven are going to be probably what everybody cares about.
First I want to thank our official model, Cherry Vo for toughing it out from early morning till the end of the show and being the first girl to model for illmotion. Also a thank you goes to the other models that came out and joined Cherry, Vy and Kristen.

I will admit that this was really my first time ever shooting models with cars. It was tough, it was a good learning experience and I’d definitely do it again. There were tons of other photogs running around Driven getting awesome pics. However, my pics stayed within illmotion with the illmotion girls. Enjoy!

illmotion x Driven 2010 – Part I

First up, the day that we had all been anticipating has come and gone. I want to first thank everyone that participated in the illmotion booth with us. Without the combined efforts of everybody in the booth, we wouldn’t have been able to take home 18 awards. We have been the first in Driven history to have the biggest team booth with 30 cars altogether. Thanks to that, we took home the best team represent award as well.

When we first started up 3 months ago, our goal was to expose and expand the Calgary scene altogether – to have people enthusiastic about the hobby that some may call an addiction. 3 months later, we have great supporters from all around the world and people willing to support us by purchasing stickers, sharing pictures, and spreading the word. Driven was a great chance for us to finally showcase illmotion and what we were all about.

Every car and booth there deserved to be there and it was great to be able to participate with everyone. We met tons of great people and saw lots of great cars. In the end, whether you were with Revwerks, WSC, Beyond or on your own, the idea is that we keep it going with the same attitude as yesterday. We may all be different crews, clubs and companies, but ultimately we all share the same passion towards cars that we need to keep up.

Finally, this first post of mine will be showcasing the illmotion booth only. The next few parts (from me, at least) will be of all of the other booths and cars and model pictures.

iM: Driven Flashback Circa 08′

In anticipation of Driven 2010 this coming weekend here’s a quick flashback of Driven/DTP way back from 2008.

All these cars, among many more will be on display this weekend at the oval. Some of them are virtually the same with only minor tweaks but most have been completely overhauled in just two short years. I’m sure some of the owners will have a good chuckle over their old looks! Enjoy.
